What is this plant?: A tree bearing fruit on its branches in small bunches

In-Game Description: What? were you raised in a barn?! Everyone knows cherries are the food of the gods. The cherry boasts a beautiful innocent pink blossom who's beauty is unparalleled.

Authors In-Depth Description: Because the cherry tree is well known in its blossoming stage and because it would help it to look unique from the other trees in the game, this tree will be shown in blossom with the fruits on it as well in the games design. The cherries, despite growing in larger bunches in reality, will also be shown in the iconic double cherry way for easy identification.

What is this plant?: A stem plant with a flower on the top

In-Game Description: Tulips are well known for their distinctive shape and for being yellow but they also come in many different colours such as white, purple, red or even combinations of these.

Authors In-Depth Description: This plant grows in small bunches but the plants will grow individually in the game for simplicity.

What is this plant?: A stem plant with a flower on the top of its stem

In-Game Description: Technically its not black but rather a deep shape of purple but either way it works well in dark coloured garments such as dark magic robes dare I say.

Authors In-Depth Description: Again this plant in real life naturally grows in bunches but in the game they grow singularly instead to simplify it. It would likely look very similar to this picture example below in design.

What is this plant?: A bunch of stem plants with flowers on the end of each stem

In-Game Description: The daisy is a simple yet well known flower. children love to thread the soft stems into each other creating a string of flowers called a daisy chain.

Authors In-Depth Description: These flowers can grow in big bunches in real life but for the sake of the game they will grow only in small bunches. They can also grow almost anywhere but they only exist in one location in the game for simplicities sake. Apart from that, it is a simple flower so the design will likely be very similar to the original flower. It is not the first time this flower has been in video games so if you play them a lot you may know how it will likely turn out.

What is this plant?: A small bunch of stem plants with single flowers drooping off the top of each stem

In-Game Description: The only place these plants will grow is in the fresh white snow. Despite being able to withstand the cold, these plants are rather fragile.

Authors In-Depth Description: The real plants don't grow in cold places but for the sake of the game they do. Apart from a simpler design with less stems, the plant will look pretty much the same from real life in the game.

What is this plant?: A bunch of small stem plants with iconic leafs

In-Game Description: These plants are surprisingly versatile and have learned to creep their way into even into this earthy ditch. If you are lucky, you may find a four leaf clover.

Authors In-Depth Description: Yet another plant which doesn't fit with any other category. I think I will add this as well as the others into an Other category but it will stay like this for now in case more plants are needed although I doubt it. Despite the fact this plant does have flowers, they are not used in the game or at least not yet. I am also showing the plant as a much smaller group in the game than is realistic for simplicities sake.

What is this plant?: A multiple stem plant with flowers that grow in a long bunch at the end of each stem

In-Game Description: the lavender before bloom looks like a purple wheat plant but it is not as strong. This plant is a favourite of bees and butterflies.

Authors In-Depth Description: The real plant grows in an big bush of different stems with many flowers but for the purpose of the game I may decide to show it as an individual stem to make it simpler. There are also other colours of lavender but I doubt I will be incorporating them into the game as this may add too much complicity to the crafting system. I may change this in the future if I choose to add a patch for more crafting after the game is made however.

What is this plant?: A stem plant with a single flower on the top

In-Game Description: The rose is one of the most iconic flowers ever, best known for its red and pink variations. This flower is often used as a symbol of delicate beauty.

Authors In-Depth Description: This flower naturally grows with a bunch of others on a climbing vine plant but for the sake of simplicity in cartoons and video games they are often shown as growing from a single stem as an individual plant. This game is no different as this helps to simplify the design for the game and helps it fit in with its environment. There may be other colours of rose in the game in the future but this depends on the variety needed for the tailor crafting part of the game.

In-Game Description: Bluebells are so called due to the bell-like shape of its flowers. They often grow in forests such as this and cover the forest floor like a blue blanket.

What is this plant?: A simple stem plant with a Daisy-like rainbow flower on the top

In-Game Description: The rainbow wonder is a special plant indeed. No-one knows how it manages to be all those colours but some speculate they may live at the bottom of rainbows.

Authors In-Depth Description: This plant is a fictional one designed for the game and based on the design of a toy windmill. It might look similar to a rainbow coloured daisy in the end.

What is this plant?: A stem plant with a single flower at the top

In-Game Description: The poppy is well known for being a bright red and for this it is often used to present families and friends lost in war. Hundreds are used on poppy day for this.

Authors In-Depth Description: Although the natural red poppy has a rather long and leafy stem, the design used in the game will be more like the image below as a more simplistic version. More colours of poppy may be included in the game at a later date depending on how much is needed for the tailoring craft side of the game. Poppy seeds may also be added to the game if the seeds we have already are not enough for food crafting although the food database (not all noted on this website yet) is pretty substantial at this point and so this is not likely.

In-Game Description: The bright yellow flower everyone knows and loves. So called for its shape and colour, they are said to bring happiness and sunshine. Well certainly one worked.

What is this plant?: A flowering stem plant with seeds growing in soft shells from the stem where the leaves go out

In-Game Description: Sesame seeds don't grow like wheat or oats on a stem together but instead they grow in little soft green shells that look like little peppers.

Authors In-Depth Description: This is a strange plant and so may need to be heavily simplified or redesigned so it can be easy to identify as a seed giving plant and not a flower. This plant also is the only one within this category thus far and so the category may need to be changed later if nothing else fits this category later in development. I may categorise it with other plants which don't fit into any other categories such as the Pineapple Plant in an Other category. However, I will keep the category for now.

In-Game Description: barley plants look very similar to wheat plants and are often mistaken for them as they grow their grains in the same way but they have long strands around the grains.

What is this plant?: A large dry grass-like plant with a fruit growing in the middle

In-Game Description: Many people think pineapples grow on a tree like a lot of fruits but in fact they are blossom of a plant with large dry grass-like leaves.

Authors In-Depth Description: The in-game description is true to the description of the actual plant as you can see by the inspiration real life example shown below. This is the only plant in the game at the this point which fits into the plant - plant - fruit category and if this continues to be so then the category may be changed later.

What is this plant?: A Tree with nuts in its branches

In-Game Description: An acorn tree often looks like any other tree but if you carefully in their branches you can find acorns. Squirrels like to bury them to grow more trees.

Authors In-Depth Description: The design will likely be different in the game as it will need to be definitive as an individual tree and fit with its environment.

What is this plant?: A tree with nuts in its branches

In-Game Description: Pistachio trees are rather thin compared to most trees and their nuts grow in large bunches so the underground calm climate is better for them.

Authors In-Depth Description: The tree may be designed for the game in a more weak visage to match the area it resides. It may also sport different colours and patterns.
