In-Game Description: This forest is said to be the starting point of all life after a great disaster hit the land many years ago. Strange magical animals live here.
 
Authors In-Depth Description: This forest is different to the previous forest (can you guess I like forests in games lol) as this one is all green and full of twisting vines and fauna. The creatures are part plant part animal like things which are obviously plant type. Not much else to it really. It is very green with thick green vines, large trees and mossy rocks everywhere. Different stuff up for grabs to craft with.

In-Game Description: The snow pool is exactly what it sounds like. A big hole full of nothing but pure snow. It is so soft you could swim in it and it seems some fish do.
 
Authors In-Depth Description: This is a small area mainly for being a fishing spot within the Sugarlick Mountains. There are no special enemies here but you can get some unique fish and maybe plants. Since revising the fishing system, I need a Sea source in this location but it is easy as I will do it the same way I did it in SugarLick Mountains with the cliff edge on the right side this time leading to the Sea.

In-Game Description: These mountains are cold and frozen. Yet you will find more sugar here than salt. Careful not to slip and make sure you wrap up nice and warm.
 
Authors In-Depth Description: This place is a tall cold mountain just after the Sanctuary Waterfall where you will find ice type creatures. There is not much water or natural trees here. Climb to the top to get the best mining ores. Since revising the fishing system, I need to have a Sea and Pond source in this location. The pond will be easy with a little pool of icy cold water somewhere near the bottom of the mountain and to the left. The Sea source will make no changes to the design but instead of the drop of the cliff on the left side being just for show, you will actually be able to throw your fishing rod into the Sea below. Realistically you may need a very long fishing string but this is a game so whatever lol.

In-Game Description: A beautiful oasis and waterfall in the middle of the desert?! Yes! This is how the local town (town name pending) was able to set up here. There is even different wildlife here.
 
Authors In-Depth Description: A little dead end area just off of the HarshSands Desert with some different stuff. There are some special fish you can get here and some different enemies with some water type but mostly the enemies are still fire type.

Authors In-Depth Description: This is the typical desert in an RPG you know the drill. Dry, hot and has fire type enemies. It is a wide open area with nothing but sand, monsters, dry plants and maybe some rocks and pieces of old structures.

In-Game Description: They say the InterTwine Forest used to all be underwater and this is one section that stays drenched. The pure water allows unusual plants to grow.

Authors In-Depth Description: This is a detour dead end path from SingSong Beach. It is what appears to be a whole forest completely submerged underwater. It looks just like a surface forest with trees and flowers but with them looking a bit more sky blue and in amongst corals and mossy rocks. Water and plant creatures may appear in this area and different harvestable goods.

In-Game Description: This place is tropical paradise and the ideal location for a holiday. Many tourists visit, especially considering its reputation as a romantic hot spot.

Authors In-Depth Description: This is the location after InterTwine Forest and the enemies are tougher. This is the first area which has a certain element dominating the area. Most enemies in this area will be water type and use water type moves. This is also the first area where you will find another town to visit. This place is mostly full of sea and some ponds which means there are plenty of fishing spots. The place is so called due to its strong musical culture which will be expanded a bit more in the games texts. Since revising the fishing system, I need a river source in this location but no real changes have to be made since the river from InterTwine Forest is already leading into the sea here so I am going to make it so you can find river fish in the bottom left part of this location map in the place where the river hasn't quite met the sea yet.

(mixed normal and various elementals but only early types such as Fire, Grass, Water, Fighting and Ice)

In-Game Description: This forest is called for its intertwining trees whose branches twist into each other to make one huge canopy. The speckled light because of this is beautiful

Authors In-Depth Description: This place is the next location up in difficulty from the detour of Beginner Grasslands, the Sunny Hills. It is a forest so the setting is rather different. With this different setting comes more complex enemies you meet for the first time, elemental powered ones. These enemies will be some main elements such as fire, plant and water and some mixes of those but their elemental power will be limited to get used to them for tutorial purposes. This is a great place for a beginner mage to practice against other magical beings. The trees in the area are mostly blue and the trees branches wrap around each other to make large sections of tree above you. These sections will make speckles of light on the ground as most of the light will be blocked by the tree canopy but not all. There will be a couple of clearings where you will find certain plants, items, enemies and fishing spots. Since revising the fishing system, I need access to the sea in this location but it should be easy to add a path coming from the bottom right of the clearing in area 2 leading to the shore on the forests far right and it wouldn't need to be its own area but an extension of area 2.

Dominating Enemy Types: Fighting? (yet to be decided)

In-Game Description: The Sunny Hills are exactly that, sunny hills. It's a little more dry up here which is good for different plants, trees and wildlife.

Authors In-Depth Description: This place is a little to the side from the Beginner Grasslands in its own dead end. This dead end leads to the first access to the sea where you can fish for some different fish. There is a whole array of different creatures and plants here so it is like a totally different location but it is not too different from the Beginner Grasslands as the enemies are not too much harder and it is similar in appearance but with hills and less grass and more earth, sand, cliffs and the sea. Like going towards the shore from the flat plains. Since revising the fishing system, there needs to be a pond in this location but it is easy to make a tiny one at the end of the little path in area 1 (AKA angle 1). I may even make it inside a tiny little cave going into the cliff on the right of the ledge to make it more interesting but I'm not sure if I will be able to get that effect without making another area and if I can't then I will just put it at the end of the ledge with some space for the other secret I want to have there.

What is this plant?: A wild harvestable walnut bearing tree

In-Game Description: The walnut tree is a simple tree. Easy to identify and it grows big and strong. It is often a great tree to sit under on a nice evening.

Authors In-Depth Description: With similar looking trees, it's a little hard to always come up with something for the description. I also wonder how I will make the trees stand out from each other. I may have to make some changes to their appearance from what they are in real life such as strange colours or making the nuts appear larger so you can see clearly what it grows. I may even show the nuts as they are without the shell to make it more obvious. I shall see when the time comes to make the sprites and concept art ideas.

A few ideas - books in the game and research progress

There are a few things I would like to point out as considered concepts I am now planning to put into practice soon but as you can see there are other things I need to take care off first but these are things I feel I need to let you know about what I have done or are going to do
 
1- I am going to have some large texts in the game in the form of books to show history of the land and some item and enemy details that may relate to the world and their culture. Obviously, I am not going to make as many as there are in a game like Skyrim. It will just be particular things I feel the need to expand upon such as legends, history and some profiles for more complex enemies.
 
2- I have been making sure to research anything I am unsure about when it comes to the fish, plants and food items in this game data I am creating. Although, this is a comedy game in some respects, I also don't want to use that as an excuse for laziness or lack of research into certain topics. All worlds need a proper way of working, even if it sometimes doesn't make sense. I have used some real facts in some descriptions and to aid with my information and possible uses of certain fish and plants in the game. The plants and fish I am planning to be mostly the same as our world to give this game a strong basis for its world. Don't worry, there are weird things in there to but having some normal stuff helps to get a better bearing on things and makes the weird things all the better in my opinion.
 
3- I have been doing some research into the exact scripts I may need for some of the operations I had hoped to implement in this game. I had done some basic research before but now I have done into more detail since I have a better idea of what I am creating at this point and I have uncovered the exact scripts I will be using in RPG maker to create some features in my game. I wont link to them here. Let's leave it a surprise until the demo comes out OK? ;3 no the demo is not soon, there is still a lot to do but you can watch every step of the way.
 
To give you an idea I have found a script for a live combat system (a simple one but not turn based combat anymore),
I have a script for growing times and plant growing and harvesting (if needed but may not use),
I have a script for a complex fishing system (but I will simplify it. No bait will be needed),
I have a script for harvesting minerals (sprite changes when item harvested. That is not as easy as it sounds in this program),
I have a script for a little button mash or holding mini game for using when crafting or harvesting (I hope to have this as a main feature but may need to tweek a little for my use),
I have a script for an enemy log book to see enemy info and info for other items (hence the purpose of the wiki is even more important as this info will be in the game. I may also use this code to figure out how to show a book with full text like Skyrim)
And I have a few more simple scripts to make things look a little nicer like making items visually appear on the ground and a fancier opening door animation.
 
I have been busy :3 but these things wont come properly into effect until my data for what I am going to put into the game is fully complete or at least to a very decent extent so these details will have to wait for later. How does this plant grow?: A plant that grows nuts in its roots underground

In-Game Description: The peanut, unlike many other nuts, grows on a root plant inbetween its roots underground. The shells are also weaker than most nut shells

Authors In-Depth Description: Not all nuts have to grow on trees. The plants in this game are some of the aspects that most resemble our world and make most sense. I did a little quick research to make sure that I knew how the nuts grew and this is realistic to our world but not everything is realistic as you will see.

Making this website into a wiki data base

OK just letting you know that I am creating a wiki for all the game data I am creating for this game. I wanted to try using a different website to make it easier but in the end it turned out it was much better to just make extra pages, posts and links here. They are liable to change at any time and they just reflect the finer parts of my game development progress. It is a great way for me to keep track of what I am doing and a great way for you to see even the little things I change so I don't have to keep specifying what I am doing and waiting till I can post screenshots or something. This way, if there is anything you think I have messed up like item values not making sense or that you don't like the concept art or something then I can hear specific feedback as I am developing the game. I hope this will make things easier and better for everyone. I have made some simple sample wikis already to test how I am going to organise and write them. I have lots more to add so I will get on adding them all when I can and from then on I can add as I make it. In-Game Description: The Grasslands is always the first place for newbie adventurers. It is peaceful flat land with fresh rivers, ponds and green grass all around.

Authors In-Depth Description: The name makes it pretty self explanatory which is the point of course. It is the first area of the game which you access, after the first town you start in. It has no complex enemy types like fire or water elements but instead it is dominated by weaker normal type enemies to get you started. The enemies are easy to help you get used to the game and its combat system. A lot of the enemies may not even fight back. Since revising the fishing system, there needs to be access to the sea in this area so it will be accessible just at the bottom right of the location you see above in the concept art. This may be in a different area (area 4) linked by a portal at the bottom and to the right of area 1 or part of the bottom of area 1. This depends on which is more comfortable or consistent with the game when it is in the later stages of development actually creating the location in the RPG maker software.

What is this plant?: A wild harvestable apple fruit bearing tree

In-Game Description: The humble apple tree is the local tree of the area and it is recognised as such. These trees are also the reason the apple fish roams the areas waters

Authors In-Depth Description: This is a simple apple tree. Nothing that unusual for an RPG. It is a good starting point for the games plants as there are plenty of easy recipes that use apples which can make this plant relevant in early cooking skills. However, apples are an integral part of a lot of recipes, not just easy ones so this plant and its harvest will still be relevant as you progress through the game. Further description of the apple tree in-game will be unlikely due to its insignificance to the history of the land and such.
