M.E.G.A. Craft the ultimate crafting RPG

This website is for me to show my workings and updates for a project I am working on. I think this will help to keep me motivated lol. I am creating a game in RPG Maker called M.E.G.A. Craft or Marvellous Extreme Giga Awesome Craft for its full name. Yes I know the title is stupid it is a comedy game. However, don't expect loads of progress at a time and lots of updates as I am working on this on my own. See the 'project details' post for more information.

In-Game Description: Meat caught between the spiritual world of the heavens and the solid world of the living. How did you even obtain this?!

Authors In-Depth Description: One of the big final bosses in the game holds this item as it is the best grade of meat you can get. This boss is a giant bird spirit which fires creatures, ghosts and wind at you. It isn't finished designed yet but in development. The meat it gives is partly see through and made of a white and pale grey colour.

In-Game Description: I don't know whether you can really call this meat. It is kinda disturbing. Some meat which seems to be partly made up of metal fragments.

Authors In-Depth Description: The bird this comes from is a metal bird which I haven't finished designing yet. It is basically the same as the previous bird meat examples but with a grey metal armour plating on top of it.

In-Game Description: the incredibly thick meat from a mighty dragon. It's gonna take some cooking to get this to be delicious, if you really want to that is.

Authors In-Depth Description: I haven't designed the land dragon yet which will also drop this meat. It will be a big thick slab of meat with large thick red scales and a spiky back on it similar to the scaly meat.

In-Game Description: The meat from a reptile. You will have to peel off the scales before cooking and eating it. It's tough meat but some people like it that way.

Authors In-Depth Description: The monsters mentioned are two different kinds of snakes. Slithery has been made but not posted yet as I plan to do more reptile-like monsters to go with it. Its a thick slab of meat but with scales basically. It would look like the example below in shape and position in the sprite but with some green scales and a spiky back left on the top.

In-Game Description: Everyone knows Pekin. The delicious meat of a...well, Pekin. It is a common cheap meat used in almost every meat meal in common households.

Authors In-Depth Description: it would look exactly like the picture below in sprite but with some white and yellow feathers (maybe a red crest) just to make sure it is clear what type of meat it is compared to other bird meat in the game.

In-Game Description: The meat of an Ostradamus. Thick, dry and difficult to cook but very filling and wholesome. The wings aren't that good though considering the lack of use.

Authors In-Depth Description: The Ostra Meat will be similar to the example below but with a large bulky body and legs with small wings and some grey feathers to make it look different from other bird meat in the game and to stay accurate to the bird it came from which is based off an ostrich.

In-Game Description: The meat from a blue diver bird. Not much meat there but it is apparently rather tender and delicious. Maybe you should try putting twenty of them in a pie.

Authors In-Depth Description: same as would expect like example below but smaller song bird size and with a tinge of darkish blue and or some blue feathers or tail still attached to make it easier to tell different bird meat apart in the game.

In-Game Description: The thick meat of a Moobull. A tasty treat used in a lot of common household recipes. They say meat is good for your muscles.

Authors In-Depth Description: pretty much what you expect, a cartoony slab of beef like a steak most likely for the spite design similar to the example below. The Moobull hasn't been finished yet but it basically the male bull version of the Moodle.

In-Game Description: A moisturised lump of blubber. Great chefs use it to grease their frying pans and in certain recipes. It's makes food very soft and creamy apparently.

Authors In-Depth Description: It will look pretty much exactly like the picture below but without that piece cut out of it and more white with the skin on the top. I decided to only make two types of fat in this game as this part doesn't need any extra complexity. The food part of the game already has way too many items in it anyway lol.

In-Game Description: The strong wind has whipped the milk into a creamy delicate mix but who left it here? Maybe a Moodle got swept away by a tornado.

Authors In-Depth Description: This item will look very similar to the original carton of milk from a moodle but whipped up with a curling peak on the top to show it and maybe a slightly different greyer colour to make it easier to tell the difference if needed. It will look like the below example but in a metal milk carton without the strawberry of course.

posting progress update

sorry I haven't posted in a while. been having problems at home which I care not to mention but lets just say I am now emotionally ill. Nevertheless, I think it would help to know I have a little task to do so I will try to continue to post on here but my posts may be a little spotty for a good while and I don't know when this will get better. Maybe it wont but I will aspire to keep posting ;3

I haven't been idol all this time as I have been creating the hard notes for the vegetables but it hasn't transferred much to this blog yet as more still to be done hard note wise. However, I am going to continue posting the raw foods item list (at least as much as I already have notes of and when I catch up I will post it in hard note and then straight to the blog so they are updated at same time). After that is fully sorted it will be time for the monster listings which I will be difficult and may require quite a bit of tweaking and large gap between each post because a lot of details need to be figured out and other previous posts will need to be edited so everything fits together. Bare with me on this. Then all that would be left would be items (which are mostly different grades of the same things and limited choices at the moment since most can just be reused in this instance whereas food is more complicated). Once this is done (this should be pretty short compared to the whole food process) things can really get going as we will need to sort things out which will be more interesting to you such as characters, dialogue, storyline and other details. This is where I may implement RPG Maker into the mix more to get a better idea of how to create these things to work within the program so you should see actual sprite work and screenshots at that point to see progress with your own eyes.
